Holy Comforter Lutheran Church & School has been serving God, the community and conducting worship services in Kingwood, Texas since 1970!
We just celebrated our 40th anniversary and we look forward to the next 40 years, and beyond.
Everyone is welcome to attend our worship services. We love having new guests as well as seeing the valued members of our congregation. During this time of worship and learning, we hear God’s Word, sing God’s praise, receive forgiveness and renewal through the Holy Communion, and become prepared to better live and serve in our Creator’s world and Go Deeper with Christ.
In addition to our regular Sunday morning schedule of worship at 8:15 and 11:00 AM with Bible Study for all ages at 9:30 AM, we will also gather together on Wednesdays during Lent at 7:30 PM for worship. Our worship on Wednesday nights will be a brief order of confession and communion. Of course, we will continue to have dinner at 6:00 PM and Bible Study for all ages at 6:30 PM.
We will also celebrate Lent and Holy Week services Wednesday through Sunday, beginning Ash Wednesday, March 17th. Holy Week Worship will be at 7:30 on Maundy Thursday on April 1, Good Friday on April 2, and Easter Vigil on April 3. The Festival Services of the Resurrection on Easter Day, April 4, will be at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 AM, with leadership by choirs, brass, timpani, and handbells.
