My SHAPE for Ministry

We have now completed the first go-round of the five-week discovery course called SHAPE. Approximately 70 people were involved in the journey. In the course we looked at our unique SHAPEs, which is an acronym for Spiritual Gifts, Heart (or Passion), Abilities, Personality, and Experiences.

We believe that God has uniquely shaped each one of us for ministry. He also has us where He needs us. In order to fulfill the mission He has planned for us in this place, we need “all hands on deck.” Too often, individuals just don’t know where, and how God is calling them to serve. This discovery course will help us with the process of discovering who God has shaped each one of us to be, thus where and how He is calling us to serve. (By the way, since our God is an active God, His shaping of us is not a done deal, but an ongoing journey.)

I believe God has big plans for us at Holy Comforter. I believe that God has the gifted people He needs, and will draw those still needed to get done what He wills to be done. It’s now up to us to discover, learn, search, and serve together as His hands and feet in this community and beyond.
