Communion Policy

Holy Comforter is a Eucharistic parish, which means that we celebrate Holy Communion at all Sunday morning worship services.

We believe that Holy Communion is the Sacrament in which Christ is present in bread and wine to give us His body and blood for the forgiveness of sins and as a foretaste of the heavenly feast.  The “how” Christ is present is a mystery, but that He is present is a promise.  In receiving Holy Communion we are intimately linked with all the saints, we are nourished and strengthened in faith, and we are called to be witnesses to the Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ.  Holy Communion is open to all the baptized.  Believers of all ages are invited.  Everyone is welcome to His Table.
